Where is Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun?
Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun is located in Kansas City, Missouri, 10 minutes northeast of downtown off the east loop of I-435 at exit 54. Visit the Trip Planning section for ticket prices and online ticket purchasing, special offers, driving directions, a park map and other helpful information. Worlds of Fun features six world-class roller coasters, including the huge new PATRIOT inverted coaster, dozens of thrill rides, and live shows.  Oceans of Fun provides guests with over 60 acres of wet and wild fun and adventure, including 18 water slides, a lazy river, special areas just for little squirts, and a giant wave pool.
What is the Junior / Senior Ticket?
The Junior / Senior Ticket is for guests ages 3 & older AND less than 48 inches in height OR Ages 62 & older. See what rides Juniors can experience by checking out the Ride Height Chart. What does my Worlds of Fun Single-Day Ticket include?
Your Worlds of Fun Regular Single-Day Ticket includes unlimited use of all rides, shows and attractions inside Worlds of Fun for one-day. It does not include entrance into Oceans of Fun nor additional fee attractions like the RipCord, Grand Prix Raceway, or The Rock.
What are the prices and benefits of Season Passports?

Do you offer admission discounts?
There are many discounts on admission available for Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. For a complete list of current offers available to the general public, please visit our Special Offers page.
What type of payments do Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun accept?
Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards and most Debit Cards are accepted for park admission, at most merchandise locations, and at select restaurants throughout the Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun.

Guests may also purchase tickets using a personal check with 2 forms of ID. Visitors can even cash checks up to $100.00 per day at either of the Guest Relations offices.

ATM's are available at Worlds of Fun just outside the Main Entrance, near Vittle Griddle in the Americana section, and near the Wood and Leather shop in the Africa section. At Oceans of Fun, an ATM is located near the turnstiles, just outside of Trader Nick's. An ATM is also located at the Worlds of Fun Village clubhouse.

What is my responsibility as a rider and where can I find a complete list of ride regulations, guest services, park policies, and special services for guests with disabilities?

Many rides at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun are dynamic and thrilling. There are inherent risks in riding any amusement ride. For your protection, each ride is rated for its special features, such as high speed, steep drops, sharp turns or other dynamic forces. If you choose to ride, you accept all of these risks. Restrictions for guests of extreme size (height or weight) are posted at certain rides. Guests with disabilities should refer to our Ride Admission Policy available at Guest Relations. Participate responsibly. You should be in good health to ride safely. You know your physical conditions and limitations, Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun do not. If you suspect your health could be at risk for any reason, or you could aggravate a preexisting condition of any kind, DO NOT RIDE!

Missouri Stature RSMO 316.230 requires that riders obey all warnings and directions regarding all rides and behave in a manner that will not cause injury to themselves or contribute to the injury of others.  Failure to comply may lead to ejection from the park and is a state misdemeanor.

Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun's definition of a responsible person is one who meets all of the requirements to ride the ride itself, is 16 years of age or older and demonstrates appropriate observed behavior.

The 2008 Rider Safety Guide provides Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun guests with information regarding the ride regulations, guest services, park policies, and special services for guests with disabilities.  A hard copy of the 2008 Rider Safety Guide is available at the Guest Relations Office located at the Main Entrance of both Parks.

What are the guidelines on dress and behavior at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun?
In keeping with the family image of Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun, we require guests to wear appropriate clothing while in the Parks.  Profanity, illegal substances, and suggestive or offensive clothing are prohibited. 

Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times and swimwear sufficiently covered while at Worlds of Fun.  For the safety of our guests, costumes are not permitted and will be refused admission.

Bathing suits and bikinis are appropriate dress only at Oceans of Fun.  Clothing with zippers, rivets, buckles, etc. is not appropriate swimwear at Oceans of Fun.  Diaper dependant individuals are required to wear a waterproof diaper cover at Oceans of Fun. 

Weapons are never permitted on Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun property.  Use of cameras and/or cell phones are not permitted inside the park restrooms and bathhouses. Some rides may require the removal of t-shirts and eyeglasses.

To ensure that all guests have a fair opportunity to enjoy a ride as quickly as possible, line jumping is not allowed at Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun.  Line jumping, regardless of the reason, may lead to ejection from the Parks.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.  Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun defines line jumping as:

  1. Cutting in front of other guests who are already in line; or
  2. Saving a place for someone ; or
  3. Leaving a line, then attempting to re-enter at the same point.

Since this includes using restrooms or purchasing food or drink, we suggest you make all stops before you enter the line.

What items can I take on the rides?

When planning your day at Worlds of Fun, we suggest that you travel light.

If you plan an active day of riding rides, we suggest that you bring into the park only items that can be safely secured in cargo pockets, a waist pack or a zipping jacket pocket. To secure loose articles, a cargo pocket must fasten with a velcro or button flap or a zipper, a waist pack should fasten around the waist and have a zipper closure, and a jacket pocket must have a zipper closure.

For safety reasons, purses, backpacks, beverage containers or any other loose articles may not be taken on most rides at Worlds of Fun. These items may be left in a locker, your vehicle, with a non-rider, or at the owner's risk on the ride platform. However, Worlds of Fun is not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen.

What happens when it rains at Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun
Most rides and attractions remain in operation despite rain.  For your safety, certain rides and attractions may be closed due to rain, lightning, high winds, extreme temperatures, maintenance, and other reasons.  We re-open closed rides and attractions as soon as possible.  We suggest visiting other attractions and checking back later.  No rain checks or refunds.
Can I leave Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun and re-enter that day?
If you plan to leave Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun and return later that day, ask the ticket taker at the re-admission turnstile to stamp your hand.  Guests will not be allowed to re-enter either Park without a hand stamp.  Be sure to keep your parking receipt if you take your car from the parking lot so you can re-enter without charge.  Vehicles left overnight may be towed at owner's expense.
Can I bring food or drink into Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun
Guests may bring unopened bottles of water into the park.  However, for everyone's safety, guests are not permitted to bring coolers, food, or other drinks into either Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun.  Shaded picnic areas are available outside the Park Gates between parking lots D and F at Worlds of Fun and just outside the admissions gate at Oceans of Fun.  

If you  plan to leave Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun to use the picnic facilities, ask the ticket taker at the re-admission turnstile to stamp your hand.  The hand stamp will allow re-entry into the park later that same day.  Guests will not be allowed to re-enter either Park without a hand stamp. 

What are the food and beverage options at the Parks?
Concession areas are located throughout Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun.  Coolers, food or beverages may not be taken inside the Parks.  Public picnic tables are on a first-come, first-served basis and are located outside Worlds of Fun between parking lots D and F and just outside the Oceans of Fun Main Entrance.  If you plan to leave Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun to go to the picnic area and return that day, ask the ticket taker at the re-admission turnstile to stamp your hand. Guests will not be allowed to reenter the Parks without a hand stamp. 

Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun do not permit grilling, open flames or outside vendors to cater picnics on the Park's property.  Alcoholic beverages are not permitted outside the serving areas or in the picnic areas located by the parking lots.

Can I bring my dog to the Park(s)?

Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun do not allow guests to bring dogs into the Parks unless they are used as service animals.  We also ask that you do not leave your pet unattended in your vehicle while you are visiting.  The following is a listing of area kennels (Please Note: We do not operate, endorse, or recommend any particular kennel):

What are the additional fee attractions at Worlds of Fun and how much do they cost?
RipCord
RipCord is a SkyCoaster attraction that features a 180-foot tethered free fall. You must be at least 48 inches tall to ride the RipCord. Times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices are as follows:
3 flyers: $16.95 plus tax per flyer
2 flyers: $22.95 plus tax per flyer
1 flyer: $27.95 plus tax per flyer
Video of your flight: $12.95 plus tax per video

Grand Prix Raceway
On the Grand Prix Raceway, located in the Americana section of the Park, you can feed your need for speed. Drivers must be at least 58 inches tall. Guests between 44 inches and 58 inches tall may ride as a passenger when accompanied by a valid driver. Prices are as follows:

1 ride: $5.00 per car, or get 2 consecutive rides for $8.00 per car (must be the same rider)

The Rock
Feed your need for climbing at The Rock. Rider eligibility will be determined on an individual basis based on weight and height. Prices are as follows:

2 climbs: $5.00

What rentals are available at Worlds of Fun and how much do they cost?
Single strollers, double strollers, wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, and lockers are available for rent inside Worlds of Fun at Lockers & Stroller Rentals in the Scandinavia section next to All Star's Grill.  Please reference the 2008 Pricing List below for further information. 

2008 Pricing List

  • Single Strollers*
    Cost is $10.00 + tax plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the ticket stub and stroller rented.
  • Double Strollers*
    Cost is $15.00 + tax plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the ticket stub and stroller or wheelchair rented.
  • Wheelchairs*
    Cost is $12.00 plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the ticket stub and stroller or wheelchair rented.
  • Electric Wheelchairs*
    Cost is $40.00 plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the ticket stub and the scooter rented.

Please note that due to the limited availability of electric wheelchairs, it is recommended that interested guests reserve an electric wheelchair in advance by calling 816.303.5066 at least one day before your visit.  Payment is required at time of reservation. 

  • Lockers*
    Cost is $5.00 for a small locker and $6.00 for a large locker. Plus, a $3.00 rental deposit is required for lockers. Access to rented lockers is unlimited.

*Please note that ALL rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis except for electric wheelchairs which can be reserved by calling 816.303.5066 at least one day before your visit.  Strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters may not be taken outside of the park gates or into parking areas. The return deposit shall be forfeited if the aforementioned requirements are not met.   Segway transporters are not permitted inside the Park.

What rentals are available at Oceans of Fun and how much do they cost?
Private cabanas are available for rent at the Hot Dogger refreshment stand near Surf City Wave Pool at Oceans of Fun.  Please visit the Cabana Rentals section for prices and information.

Single Tubes and Double Tubes are available for rent inside Oceans of Fun at George's Rafts near the Surf City wave pool, or at Toobie or Not Toobie next to the Hurricane Falls exit.  Please reference the 2008 Pricing List below for further information.

Lockers and wheelchairs are available for rent inside Oceans of Fun at All Day Rentals near Trader Nick's.  Please reference the 2008 Pricing List below for further information. 

Lifejackets are available free of charge inside Oceans of Fun at George's Rafts near the Surf City wave pool, or at Toobie or Not Toobie next to the Hurricane Falls exit.

  • Single Tubes* **
    Cost is $3.00 plus a $2.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must be wearing their wristband AND present the tube. In the case of stolen tubes, the return deposit is forfeited.
  • Double Tubes* **
    Cost is $6.00 plus a $2.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must be wearing their wristband AND present the tube. In the case of stolen tubes, the return deposit is forfeited.
  • Lockers*
    Cost is $5.00 plus a $3.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the original key and the ticket stub (tag).
  • Wheelchairs*
    Cost is $12.00 plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. To receive the return deposit, a guest must present BOTH the ticket stub and the wheelchair rented.
  • Lifejackets
    Children's and adult's lifejackets are available free of charge at any of the tube rental locations.

How does Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun handle lost people and lost articles?
To prevent your group from becoming separated during your visit, we suggest you arrange a specific time and place for your group to meet prior to entering Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun.  Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun do not offer personalized public paging.  If a child becomes separated from your group, we suggest you contact one of the Worlds of Fun Security Personnel or go to the Guest Relations Office at the main Entrance for assistance.

All items found at Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun are turned into our Guest Relations office at each Park's Main Entrance. If you lose an item on a ride, we will search for the article as soon as it is possible. In order to keep the ride in operation, an immediate search may not be possible.

Where are the Guest Relations Windows and First Aid Stations located at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun?
You may visit Guest Relations just outside the Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun Main Entrance for more information during your visit. 

First Aid stations are located just inside the Worlds of Fun Main Entrance and adjacent to the Surf City wave pool inside Oceans of Fun.  Both stations are staffed by EMTs during park hours.  Refrigeration for medication is available at First Aid.

What is Rider Swap?
If you have small children and want to ride some of the rides that have a minimum height requirement but have no provisions for child care while you do, one responsible person may wait with the child on the midway near the exit while the rest of the party enters the line.  The party waiting should notify the ride ambassador that the group is taking part in Rider Swap.  When the party in line has ridden and exited, the person who waited with the child may ride, entering the ride through the exit.  Accommodations can also be made for groups with a disabled rider.  Due to the design of attractions at Oceans of Fun, Rider Swap may not be available on all rides
What is KidTrack?
Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun has implemented a guest service to quickly reunite separated children and their parents with cell phones. Here's how KidTrack works:
  1. KidTrack wristbands are available at Guest Relations at the Main Gates of both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun.
  2. Write your 10-digit cell phone number on the wristband and fasten it around your child's right wrist. Please explain the reason for the wristband to your child, and instruct them to go to the nearest uniformed employee if they become separated from you.
  3. If you and your child become separated, the Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun employee who finds your child will activate the KidTrack system. Your cell phone number will be called and you will be told where your child is being safely kept until you are reunited.
  4. Please make sure you leave your cell phone on in case you need to be located through the KidTrack system.
Is smoking permitted at the Parks?

For those who wish to smoke, there are designated smoking areas throughout Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Smoking is permitted at the following clearly labeled areas only:   

  • Worlds of Fun - near event booth to left of Main Entrance, patio in front of All-Stars Grill, the Ripcord observation deck near the entrance to Patriot, the midway outside the Camp Snoopy entrance, the rear patio area outside of Coasters Drive-In, the upper and lower patio of ZardaQ in Americana, the lake deck near Sea Dragon, north of the Boomerang exit, Moulin Rouge patio, and the northern deck by Grand Prix Raceway.
  • Oceans of Fun - Castaway Cove/Jim Bob's Belly Up Bar (Adult Pool), the island of Caribbean Cooler, and adjacent to the patio area at Hot Dogger near Surf City Wave Pool

Additionally, smoking is not permitted at indoor restaurants, theatres, gift shops, and arcades.

What rides am I able to ride with my cast?

Guests with full arm or leg casts or braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace may present a hazard to the guest or others. Please consult with the Guest Relations Staff at the Main Entrance for information.
