From July 13 through August 4, Worlds of Fun will be transformed into a cultural smorgasbord during Grand Carnivale. Guests are invited to explore the splendor, mystery and traditions of China, France, Germany, India and Italy. As you make your journey through each region in the park, you’ll be completely immersed in the lure of faraway lands.

Worlds of Fun

Grand Carnivale is an all-new event geared towards every type of guests. Young, old, thrill seekers, non-riders, foodies – you’ll find an array of unique experiences to tickle your fancy. Adults can enjoy signature cocktails, sample food and take in the live entertainment – just to name a few. Kids can interact with special characters, build crafts and enjoy several interactive elements – including the Grand Carnivale Adventurer’s Club.

Did Someone Say Adventure?

The Grand Carnivale Adventurer’s Club is specifically designed for young explorers 8-13 years old. It’s similar to a scavenger hunt or The Amazing Race, but those willing to embark on this interactive journey around the world will be challenged to unlock the mystery and magic of Grand Carnivale.

Adventure Club

To join the Grand Carnivale Adventurer’s Club, the young explorer must pick up an “Adventure Club Challenge Guidebook” from any country. It doesn’t matter where you start. Each country has its own special challenge for the adventurers to complete, packed with clever clues and mind-bending puzzles. Once you’ve finished your objective, your Guidebook will be stamped and you’ll be given another clue that will lead you to your next destination where a set of new tasks await.

Adventurers Club

Your goal is to collect stamps in your Guidebook from each country: China, France, Germany, India and Italy. Special passwords are shared. Hidden treasures are discovered. To be successful like any true adventurer, you must immerse yourself in each country’s culture and learn about their histories.

Grand Carnivale

If you are able to complete the ultimate adventure and collect stamps in your Guidebook from all five countries, you will earn a membership in “da club” and be honored with the prestigious Grand Carnivale Adventurer’s Club Badge. Exploration begins after the Grand Carnivale opening celebration at 5:00 p.m. and remains in full swing until 10 p.m.

Step By Step Guide

Step One: Pick up an “Adventure Club Challenge Guidebook from any country showcased in Grand Carnivale.

Step Two: To activate each challenge, you will need to find a roaming Carnivale Ambassador or international character in each section and say “hello” in the country’s main language. Don’t worry, we’ve included a cheat sheet in your Guidebook and below:

  • China – Ni Hao (nee haow)
  • France – Bonjour (bawn-zhoor)
  • Germany – Guten Tag (gooten tak)
  • India – Namaste (nuhm-uh-stey)
  • Italy – Ciao (chow)

Step Three: The Carnivale Ambassador or international character will lead you to that country’s adventure.

Step Four: Head out on your quest and complete the challenge!

Step Five: Once you’ve completed your quest, show off your accomplishment to a Carnivale Ambassador or international character to earn a stamp and the next country’s clue. Collect stamps from all countries and receive your exclusive, members-only badge.

Grand Carnivale Worlds of Fun

While exploring, don’t forget to check out all the great food, drinks, crafts, games and entertainment around the five nations. Be sure to share your journey on social media using #KCCarnivale!

Best of luck to all adventurers as they embark on their journey’s around the world during Grand Carnivale.
