Worlds of Fun will be home to this summer’s biggest party with the debut of Grand Carnivale. This all-new festival will bring the world’s largest celebrations to life, complete with all the sights, sounds, tastes and traditions to complete your cultural journey.

International Summer Festival Kansas City

Grand Carnivale will be the largest summer event in park history. It will be held daily from July 13 through August 4, and the festival is included with a 2019 Gold Season Pass or park admission.

“We pride ourselves on delivering fun-filled, immersive events for our guests, and Grand Carnivale promises to be another great addition to our lineup,” said Tony Carovillano, general manager at Worlds of Fun. “Like Halloween Haunt and WinterFest, we believe this new festival will provide a truly unique experience that engages the imagination and creates lasting memories for young adults and families alike.”

The Details of Grand Carnivale at Worlds of Fun

Grand Carnivale will be a richly themed event, highlighting the splendor, mystery and traditions of China, France, Germany, India and Italy. The festivities kick off every evening starting at 5:00 p.m. as sections of the park transform into worldly regions, complete with native food, signature beverages, music, dance, crafts and authentic entertainment.

At around 8:00 p.m., the party really heats up as our interactive Spectacle of Color parade rolls through the park, filling the midways with spirited celebration and glee. The parade will feature nine large floats, complete with jaw-dropping performances, interactive elements and illuminating lights that are sure to dazzle. Costumed performers will keep the party going as the parade makes its way from Americana to International Plaza. Have your camera ready at all times!

The 30-40-minute parade will conclude with the King of Carnivale as he paints the night with magic and officially kicks off the Carnivale Street Party with lively dance and interactive performances as the world comes together to party under the stars.

International Culture Party

The addition of Grand Carnivale is just one more reason why a 2019 Gold Season Pass is a must.
