Worlds of Fun Blood Drive hosted by Community Blood Center

This is Rita’s second season at the park and as a Communications Coordinator Intern. She recently graduated from Truman State University earning degrees in Communications and English. Rita enjoys the art of storytelling and tossing the good ol’ fris around.

Please note that the park and rides will not be open during the blood drive.

Worlds of Fun and Community Blood Center (CBC) are working together to help save lives in the Kansas City community with a blood drive on Tuesday, August 11 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

All registered donors will receive one free single-day admission ticket to Worlds of Fun, valid any public operating day during the 2020 season through September 6, 2021.

Appointments are required.

*Parking is free. Arrive through the park's toll plaza and proceed to Lot B. Please note: The park will not be open and rides will be unavailable during the blood drive. 

Worlds of Fun

“The blood supply is a critical part of our healthcare system. It is imperative for healthy individuals to donate blood so that it’s available to those in need,” said Kim Peck, Senior Executive Director of Community Blood Center. “At this unprecedented time, this is one thing you can do to help someone who desperately needs it. We encourage all healthy individuals to make an immediate appointment to donate blood.”

All donors are required to wear masks and will go through a health screening and temperature check before their donation. Proper social distancing protocols will be in place throughout the Blood Drive. More information regarding CBC Safety protocols in response to COVID-19 can be found here.
