After a year-long hiatus, Worlds of Fun's Halloween HAUNT has come back with a vengeance. To remind you of all the thrills and chills HAUNT has to offer, we have decided to provide an inside look at some of our most gruesome haunted attractions. This week, we are kicking things off with one of our newest attractions: Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater.

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater is located on the old Dino Trail just behind Boomerang. You will know you are in the right place when you see a giant eerie jack-o-lantern welcoming you at the entrance followed by a disturbing pumpkin archway complete with skeletons, skulls, and gargoyles.

If you were to walk through the attraction with no previous knowledge of the story behind Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, it will become clear as you first come across old 17th century-esque signs warning all those who enter of the pumpkin plague.

The story begins with Peter, who is notorious throughout all the countryside for his pumpkin patch each fall, and providing his townspeople with pumpkins and gourds each All Hallows Eve has been his life’s work. But after the mysterious disappearance of his wife and some ladies of the town it’s clear that this autumn something sinister has been planted in the fields. The rumors of Peter’s indiscretions spread amongst the townspeople. As Halloween draws closer the town can no longer ignore the menacing turn this once auspicious farmland has taken. As an outraged mob has bubbled up there are plans to storm Peter’s farm to release the ladies they suspect Peter is holding captive, but what they discover is all the more horrendous… Victims left to stew in rotting pumpkins, heads replaced with intricately carved gourds, and insects crawling over every soupy and nauseating surface of Peter’s barn. Unravel the mystery of the most feared plot of land in the county as you discover PETER, PETER, PUMPKIN EATER.

As you make your way through this cursed village, you will quickly become aware of the growing horrors brought on by the revenge of a betrayed witch. Will you make it out of this ill-fated village, or will you be its next victim?
