Hiring Lifeguards and More + Salary Increases

Looking for a perfect summer job in Kansas City? Worlds of Fun is currently hiring lifeguards as we prepare to open Oceans of Fun waterpark for the 2021 season on May 29. Best of all, we’ve increased starting wages to $15 per hour for lifeguards. Click here to apply to one of our lifeguard openings.

All lifeguard training and certification is provided by Jef Ellis & Associates (ELLIS) and is free of charge to oncoming team members.

Oceans of Fun Summer Jobs

Wage increases and improved benefits extend to all departments, where Worlds of Fun will hire over 2,000 total ambassadors for the 2021 season. Additional employment perks include flexible scheduling, discounts, free park admission to Worlds of Fun or any Cedar Fair park, exclusive events, scholarships and recognition programs.

A variety of positions are available throughout the park to fit any applicants’ talents and needs. There’s something for first-time job seekers to seasoned professionals.

If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a lifeguard or seasonal ambassador, our human resources team is hosting job fairs and hiring events where you can gain more information, apply and get hired. Interested applicants can attend virtually or in-person. Click here for times.
