Worlds of Fun's Second Annual Day of Service
You may wonder what an amusement park staff does when the park is closed for the season. Last Friday our team brought the FUN into the community. On the second annual Worlds of Love Day of Service, Worlds of Fun employees lent a helping hand to different groups that provide life-changing resources to people in need.
Two groups of Worlds of Fun employees sorted food and clothing for Community Services League in Independence. Worlds of Fun aligns well with the CSL purpose, “To make meaningful and lasting change in people’s lives.” Our employees seek to fulfill this purpose not only during the season, but also through their work in the off-season.
The remaining team members assisted our friends at Synergy Services who aid and home some of the youngest and most vulnerable members of our community. They helped deck out the nearby Synergy Youth Resiliency Center with holiday spirit. They also organized coats and blankets for their holiday shop, along with cleaning donated toys. Worlds of Fun has partnered with Synergy Services throughout the season and are looking forward to continuing that relationship as they help struggling youth in our city!
We are extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to help our community and serve those who need it most! Learn more about how you can help these local organizations at their websites www.cslcares.org and www.synergyservices.org. Happy Holidays from Worlds of Fun!
