Take a Look at Worlds of Fun's Family-Focused Events Lineup for the 2024 Season

February 28, 2024

New to the park this season will be KC Summer Nights, an immersive summer festival paying tribute to Kansas City, as well as KidZfest, the ultimate family-friendly celebration. The park’s fall events schedule will also see a change with a new fall daytime event and a change to Halloween HAUNT admission.

The park will open for its 51st season on May 4, 2024, and Oceans of Fun will open for the summer on Saturday, May 25.

NEW KidZfest

June 1-16, 2024 (Saturdays & Sundays)

Introducing KidZfest, the ultimate event for family-friendly summer fun every Saturday and Sunday from June 1-16! Join in on the exciting dance parties, feast on delicious treats, enjoy our kid-friendly rides, and check out our interactive games and activities. With live entertainment like the Marvelous Mutts dog stunt show and Mr. Stinky Feet (only June 2, 9, 15 and 16) KidZfest promises a day full of laughter and fun.

NEW Star-Spangled Night

July 4, 2024

Experience an unforgettable fireworks display synchronized to the stirring tunes of patriotic music. Perfect for all ages, this fireworks event celebrates the spirit of our nation with a magnificent show of dazzling lights and sound.

NEW KC Nights

July 13-28, 2024 (Saturdays & Sundays)

KC Nights at Worlds of Fun will be the ultimate Kansas City summer party that keeps the excitement high as the sun goes down every Saturday and Sunday from July 13-28. Immerse yourself in a summer celebration filled with the adrenaline rush of twilight rides on our exhilarating coasters. Savor the flavors of Kansas City food along with refreshing beverages, and let the live entertainment captivate you with live jazz bands and local musicians providing the soundtrack of summertime. KC Nights at Worlds of Fun is a celebration of summer fun and KC culture. 

Ride Anniversaries

Worlds of Fun will celebrate multiple ride anniversaries this year for both Timber Wolf and Prowler. Each celebration weekend will include limited-edition merchandise and special food items and more.

Timber Wolf 35th Anniversary: Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26

Prowler 15th Anniversary: Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23

Halloween HAUNT  

Select Fall Dates (September-October)

Halloween Haunt, the Midwest’s Largest Halloween Celebration, is back to make your worst nightmares come true with horrifying haunted mazes and elaborate scare zones. In 2024, Halloween Haunt will no longer be a separate ticketed event, so guests can continue the frightful fun without leaving the park. Stay and play all day and night!

NEW Tricks and Treats

Weekends in the Fall (September-October)

New in 2024, Tricks and Treats at Worlds of Fun offers plenty of spooky daytime fun starting Saturday, September 14. From little goblins to grown-up ghouls, everyone will find ghoulish activities, eerie live shows, seasonal treats – and don’t forget the candy!
