Performance Venues
Smaller choral groups (less than 50 performers) can reserve a performance timeslot in the Moulin Rouge Theater. Larger choral groups (more than 50) can reserve a timeslot in the Tivoli Music Hall.
Registration Instructions
Festival of Music is one of the most anticipated and celebrated student performance events in Kansas City.
Our festival offers two performance venues for bands and choirs to perform in and is open to all grade levels and group types. Internationally known composers will adjudicate the performance and make comments throughout the performance for the group to keep as a file.
This file will be sent to the group organizer by email following their performance. Once the performance is over, the director can pick up their ratings and music from the Festival of Music Registration Booth located at the front of the park.
This program is a great school trip idea and a special reward for your students who have dedicated themselves to your school band! Festival of Music is open to all elementary, middle, and senior high school instrumental and choral groups.
PLEASE NOTE: You will select and register for a performance time. Warm-up times will begin prior to the selected time, with 30 minutes for instrumental groups and 15 minutes for choral and dance groups
