Sharing the world of fun at Worlds of Fun!

While there’s nothing wrong with your standard dinner-and-a-movie date night, a romantic outing to WinterFest will make you feel like you’re living a Hallmark Christmas movie. Underneath a canopy of over 5 million shimmer lights, WinterFest creates a romantic experience for couples of all ages. Here are some recommendations on how to have the perfect date night during this Kansas City holiday event!

See a live show

Start off your night in the International Plaza with our nightly Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Dance along with the holiday singers and whatever the weather, expect a little snow. As you continue to explore our winter wonderland you will see Winterfest is complete with 10 live shows.

Bluegrass performers, Old Sound, perform holiday favorites and originals in Old West Christmas

Jingle Jazz is a group of Dickensian carolers singing our Christmas favorites.

Go ice skating

No winter is complete without ice skating, just ask Jack Frost. Whatever your skill level may be, Snow Flake Lake is the best ice skating venue to show off your skills or hold on to the hand of your significant other as you make your way around this picturesque rink.

Share a treat

Every trip to Worlds of Fun should include a sweet treat. Share our Seasonal Funnel Cake, topped with cheesecake, crushed coconut and warm caramel. Don’t forget to make your way over to Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen. Decorating cookies together might just become your next tradition.

Relax on a horse-drawn carriage ride

Snuggle up and enjoy a romantic ride with your loved one on our new horse-drawn carriages. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy your stroll through the magical lights. You’re sure to have a magical time.

A date night is never complete without at least one photo to remember for years to come. Get a romantic photo under the mistletoe or get a goofy photo with our midway merriment characters such as the Belsnickels. You will see selfie opportunities all across WinterFest, perfect for your new profile pics. Be sure to share on social media using #WinterFestKC or with one of our custom WinterFest SnapChat filters.
