The Great Pumpkin Fest is ready to begin at Worlds of Fun, and if you’re looking for things to do with the family in Kansas City – this not-so-spooky fall festival is sure to fit the bill. On Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., we’re celebrating the season with special Halloween-themed activities to complement our PEANUTS-themed rides and attractions in Planet Snoopy.

Things to do with Family in Kansas City Fall

Can't-Miss Family Festivities

Home to 21 rides and family attractions, there’s no shortage of fun to be had in Worlds of Fun’s kid area, Planet Snoopy. Add in our lineup of special activities from The Great Pumpkin Fest, and you’re in for all treats and no tricks. Some of our “Can't-Miss Family festivities” include:

Linus’ Labyrinth – This “a-maze-ing” hay bale maze provides a fun challenge for kids to conquer. As they make their way through a series of dead ends, they’ll find their way to the ‘most sincere’ Pumpkin Patch where Linus hopes to meet his holiday harvest idol, The Great Pumpkin. Kids ages 12 and under can choose their own mini-gourd to take home as a keepsake.

Count Snooptacula’s Costume Contest – Kids ages 11 and younger are invited to show off their costumes in Planet Snoopy. At 3 p.m. in PEANUTS Showplace, we’ll have a contest to determine who sports the best!

Pig Pen’s Creepy Crafts – Calling all artists! Here’s your chance to show off by creating the best Halloween crafts. Display your artistic flair and have a souvenir to take home.

Tricks and Treats with the PEANUTS Gang – Trick-or-Treat inside Planet Snoopy and score some sweet treats. You never know who will be nearby to join in the fun.

The Great Pumpkin Fest

Peppermint Patty’s Tall Tells – Gather around for story time with Peppermint Patty. Imaginations will soar as we share some of our favorite tales inside Peanuts Showplace.

Other Great Pumpkin Fest attractions include a showing of It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Haunted Homecoming in Moulin Rouge Theater and Franklin’s Cool Coloring. In addition to The Great Pumpkin Fest, all of your favorite Worlds of Fun attractions are yours for the riding! Activities in Planet Snoopy like Pig Pen’s Creepy Crafts and Trick-or-Treating are scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Click here for Worlds of Fun's complete park calendar and hours.

Following 6:00 p.m., the family-friendly festivities come to an end as we prepare for Halloween Haunt, which officially starts at 6:30 p.m. and is not recommended for children under 14.
