A World of New Eats

Led by our executive chef Wesley Boston, Worlds of Fun’s culinary team aims to flip the script on traditional amusement park food this season. In addition to traditional favorites like funnel cake, pizza and hand-breaded chicken tenders, we’re introducing a variety of new dining options that will delight everyone in the family – including gluten-free and health conscience menu selections.

Cotton Blossom BBQ will be the belle of the ball when it opens this spring. As the largest restaurant in the park, it will become our flagship dining location with seating for up to 360 guests. Available selections range from authentic Kansas City BBQ and rotisserie chicken to home-style sides, salads and gourmet mac n’ cheese. Best of all, it will be a new dining plan location for families and Season Passholders looking to get the biggest bang for their bite.

New Dining Options at Worlds of Fun 

In addition to Cotton Blossom BBQ, our culinary team will also be introducing a variety of new dining concepts throughout the park, including Oceans of Fun. While recipes are still being perfected, here’s a quick recap of the new dining locations coming to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun in 2019.

Vittle Griddle ---> Gold Rush Pizza – Featuring traditional hand-tossed pies and bold creations like “The Gold Standard,” a pizza crafted with mac n’ cheese and French fries, your taste buds will strike gold. *Options available on dining plan. 

Prospectors Pizza

Battle Creek BBQ ---> Prospector’s Burritos & Cantina – Featuring an entirely gluten-free and flavorful menu with all fresh-ingredients, guests can build their own burritos, bowls and nachos. *Options available on dining plan.

Paisano’s ---> Let Them Eat Cake – Formerly serving Italian-inspired eats in Europa, at Let Them Eat Cake, guests can indulge in funnel cakes, smoothies, bubble tea/boba tea and fresh-made pastries, all hand-crafted from our new pastry chef.

Chicken Shack ---> Scandi Snacks – Featuring our famous smoked turkey legs, smoked half chickens, hot dogs, brats, beer, wine and cocktails, Scandi Snacks will be the perfect stop for families looking to refuel. *Options available on dining plan. 

Eating at Worlds of Fun

Auntie Anne’s (Oceans of Fun) ---> Paradise Pizza – From the signature paradise pizza, featuring pineapple and ham, to traditional favorites like pepperoni, it will be the perfect place to grab a slice by the wave pool. *Options available on dining plan.

In addition to these major changes, the following locations will now feature new menu items that are sure to delight.

G’Rilla Grill – Now serving burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders and the soon-to-be-famous G’Rilla Burger, a giant triple stacked cheeseburger with onion rings, cheddar cheese sauce, lettuce, special g’rilla sauce, American cheese and topped with a Worlds of Fun-made dill pickle – not for the faint of heart! *Options available on dining plan. 

Biggest Burgers

Food Truck – Primarily located in Oceans of Fun, this popular dining option will now serve our authentic Kansas City BBQ with pulled pork and brisket. *Options available on dining plan. 

Beach Bites – This fan favorite will now serve bacon-wrapped pork skewers (covered in a sweet and spicy Thai sauce - #amazing), cheeseburger sliders, hand-breaded chicken tenders and our signature atomic sausage, which is a spicy polish sausage that’s topped with beach slaw, Flamin’ Hot Funyons® and house-made pickled red onions. *Options available on dining plan.

Pro Tip: Be sure to download the new Worlds of Fun app for directions to all locations in the park, including restaurants and food stands. It is a powerful tool to ensure you make the most out of your visit to the park, and it also includes ride wait times! 

All of our new dining options were built based on guest feedback, and we’re excited for you to try our new enhancements. One thing is for sure, if you’re looking for places to eat at Worlds of Fun, you won’t have to look far for a variety of delicious options.
