Get ready for a competitive thrill in 2020 with the all-new Riptide Raceway. The mat racing water attraction will be one of the longest of its kind, with each of its four slides totaling 486 feet long.

Oceans of Fun New Slide

The Experience

Guests will begin their journey five stories high as they speed down on a soft foam mat in four side-by-side tunnels – racing to be the first to reach the finish line. The water slides will use Oceans of Fun’s natural terrain to send racers on an exhilarating journey down the winding hillside, around a tight 360-degree loop and through the fast-moving final stretch. The ride comes to an end at the finish line with a refreshing splashdown.

Riptide Raceway will be the longest mat racing water attraction in the Midwest and second-longest in the U.S.

RiptideRaceway Slide

While containing thrilling elements, Riptide Raceway is a family-friendly attraction with a height requirement of 42 inches and up. WhiteWater, a world leader in water park attractions, is the manufacturer and designer of the attraction.

The Extra Details

Riptide Raceway will replace Diamond Head, one of our original water slide attractions that opened with Oceans of Fun in 1982. Utilizing Dimond Head’s prime location, Riptide Raceway will add a splash of color to the landscape with bright red, purple, yellow and orange slides. Construction will begin following Oceans of Fun’s last day of operation on September 2, so you still have time to say goodbye to Diamond Head.

WorldsOfFunTwitter

This will be the first thrill attraction added to the water park since 2013 when Oceans of Fun and Worlds of Fun were conjoined. Entry into both parks is included with admission to Worlds of Fun, giving you access to over 235-acres of rides and slides.
