Fear is here for the 20th season of Halloween Haunt.

The Midwest’s largest Halloween event features 13 nights of fright from September 14 through October 26. To get you and your friends ready for the fog-filled midways and our menacing mazes, we’ve conjured up the top six things you need to know before exploring our theme scream park in 2019.

1) New Scare Zone: Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater

Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater will bring more than a “patch” of fresh fear this season. Set in the 18th century with a “The Handmaid’s Tale” vibe, the scare zone features gory gourds and stalking townsfolk that will use the area’s stretching layout to prey on guests.

Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater is located on Heart of America Boulevard, below Bloodshed and behind Le Taxi Tour. It replaces CarnEvil, but don’t worry…our friendly clowns are still roaming about.

2) Khaos Finds a New Home

Last season we introduced Khaos Unleashed to Halloween Haunt. After one year, the chaotic new maze relocates near the entrance of Worlds of Fun – behind the carousel.

Its new location will bring a revamped layout to the haunted maze, but all senses will still be challenged as guests make their way through the twisted labyrinth of confusion and deception.

3) Cornstalkers: Murder in The Maize

Cornstalkers, a haunted maze known for its extreme scares, gets a few new twists and surprises this year. Still with the same towing tunnels of corn and menacing scarecrows, new creatures have moved into the farm this season. That’s all we’ll say – you’ll need to see the rest for yourself.

4) Haunting Good Food

Fright Feast will not be returning to Halloween Haunt this year. Instead, we will have four food tents located throughout the park serving special-edition menu options. Each tent is named after the haunted attraction they are located near. Select menu items include:

  • Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eatery – Funnel Fingers, Burgers and Chips
  • BoneYard Brats – Sausage & Peppers Sandwich with Chips
  • Overlord’s Soul Food – BBQ Beef Sandwich with Chips
  • Chamber of Horror’s Hot Eats – Pizza with Chips

Adult beverages from Boulevard Brewing and Blue Marble are also available for purchase for those of age. Please be sure to bring your ID!

5) Bad-to-the-Bone Shows

Skeleton Crew will be returning with a new act this season. Be sure to catch their high-flying stunts and cirque-style performances on the main stage of International Plaza.

The Overlord’s Awakening will kick off each night with its sinister ceremony, but the parade will have a new layout. Haunted Homecoming also returns to the Moulin Rouge Theatre with a refreshed show that takes you back to the groovy 60’s.

6) Best Deal on Halloween Haunt Tickets

For the biggest bang for your buck, a 2020 Gold Season Pass is the way to go. They are now on sale at their absolute lowest price, and not only do they include unlimited visits and parking for the entire 2020 season, they also include the remainder of 2019 – including Haunt and WinterFest. Not to mention, a 2020 Gold Season Pass pays for itself in less than two visits.

To find the best price on daily tickets to Worlds of Fun, look no further than our website where you’ll always find the lowest price. You can also purchase Fright Lane Passes to bypass the normal wait during Haunt, which can really come in handy for those seeking the max experience.
