In August, we announced the addition of Riptide Raceway for the 2020 season. News of the Oceans of Fun addition received excitement from families and thrill-seekers alike, and today, we’re here to sweeten the deal a little…

Riptide Raceway will be the longest mat racing slide in the world!

We originally announced Riptide Raceway would be one of the longest of its kind with four separate slides that total 476.9-feet each. Knowing the record was in reach, we decided to extend its length by 10 feet. At 486-feet long, Riptide Raceway will be the longest mat racing water slide in the world when it debuts next summer in Oceans of Fun.

Ride Stats

  • 5 stories tall
  • Four side-by-side tunnels (slides)
  • Each slide totals 486-feet long
  • 42’ height requirement

Worlds Longest WaterSlide

The Experience

Once guests make their way to the top of the five-story slide complex, they will pick a soft foam mat and choose from one of the four tunnels. As they take their mark, guests will race through the winding hillside, around a tight 360-degree loop and down the final stretch into a splashdown. The first one to reach the finish line wins!

Oceans of Fun

Go for Gold

Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun are conjoined, giving guests easy access to rides and slides as they please. A 2020 Gold Season Pass includes unlimited visits and free parking, giving you an entire season of access to Riptide Raceway and all your favorite attractions at both parks. Best of all, a Gold Season Pass pays for itself in less than two visits and also includes early ride time, early park entry, discounts and more! Go for Gold and be a winner all year!
