10. PJ Panda's History Mystery Hunt
One of Worlds of Fun's most beloved characters returned in 2023. PJ Panda came out of retirement to bring guests along on a guided tour of the park's most beloved former rides like Orient Express, Finnish Fling and many more.
9. Grand Carnivale
A vibrant and cultural celebration, Grand Carnivale took visitors on a journey around the world. With stunning parades, dazzling performances, and a world of delicious international cuisine, it was a feast for the senses.
8. Amazing Live Shows
The park featured incredible live shows, including "The Great American Train Robbery" and "Squawk: The Amazing Bird Show." These adventurous shows immersed guests further into the park and the wild world of Worlds of Fun.
7. The Food
Foodies had a field day with a diverse range of culinary delights. From international flavors at Grand Carnivale, delectable sweets during Haunt and Great Pumpkin Fest to our twists on classic amusement park treats, Worlds of Fun had KC drooling all summer long.
6. Halloween HAUNT
Worlds of Fun celebrated 25 years of the Midwest's Largest Halloween Celebration. Halloween HAUNT unleashed terrifying mazes, haunted houses, and sinister characters like Overlord onto thousands of guests from September to October. New characters like Stitches the Ringmaster, Tickle the Clown, Zombie Lunch Lady, and many others added to the madness this year and grew HAUNT's legend even more this season.
5. Worlds of Fun 50: The Exhibition
With the help of the Lamar Hunt Family, Jeff and Jennifer Lovesee-Mast and the National Roller Coaster Museum, Worlds of Fun curated an exhibit of lost treasures and nostalgic memorabilia to create a stunning tribute to the park in the Tivoli Theater lobby. This exhibit features hundreds of rare artifacts, from the original plunger detonator used during the park's groundbreaking in 1972, to the lead car of the Orient Express train. This attraction was such a hit that it will return in 2024.
4. Park Refresh with All New Theming
The park underwent a major cosmetic transformation with new theming, ensuring a modern and exciting experience for new and returning visitors. A belltower that chimes on the hour in Americana, bold new signage, a fountain in Europa, immersive touches and details throughout the park all added charm to an already stunning theme park.

Guests were encouraged to share their favorite Worlds of Fun memories. The Memory Contest brought people together, as they reminisced about their past visits, tugged on our heartstrings and dreamed about new memories for the future.

A breathtaking fireworks and drone display illuminated the Kansas City skies for 50 consecutive nights during the summer of 2023, creating a truly magical and mesmerizing atmosphere. Tell your dogs we're sorry, but we had some celebrating to do.
1. The Debut of the All-New Zambezi Zinger
The crowning moment of the 50th anniversary season was the debut of the all-new Zambezi Zinger. After much waiting and anticipation, the new Zinger roared to life on June 16 at the First Rider Expedition Benefitting Big Slick. First Riders and donors raised $20,000 for pediatric cancer research to be part of the historic day.
